Bots of been used on Instagram for years, and many different tools have been built over the years. Some bots have really stood the test of time, with devoted developers keeping them up-to-date and working well.
Some bots excel in certain areas - for example they may be designed to complete a simple task such as creating accounts, whilst others offers a range of tools to help grow your Instagram accounts and following. Generally using a mix of these tools is recommended, as this adds variety and safeguards you if/when there are updates.
We've tended to test our bots on a desktop, however they should also perform on a mobile device or tablet:

FollowLiker is a pretty simple Instagram bot that really excels on doing things on a large scale. The bot offers full proxy support, and will follow and like content automatically for you. You can also configure the settings to automatically unfollow other users.
The concept here is pretty simple - when following users you often get "Followbacks", or at very least build up some interest in your Instagram page. Same for Likes - if you're liking other peoples posts/shares, then they're going to show an interest and engage back.

Instadub is a pretty advanced all-in-one bot for Instagram. It's great at mass commenting, scraping users/posts and creating Instagram accounts. It can also be used to auto-schedule content, which is a huge timesaver (Especially if you're running multiple accounts).
We've found Instadub particularly good at commenting and liking - it really excels in the use of "Tags" to find content relevant to your niche, giving you a targeted strategy rather than chasing after random interactions. The account creator is also pretty nice!

Instafire has slightly less features than Instadub, but it's very good at what it does. This Instagram bot searches based on keywords, allowing you to find relevant content, users and pages to interact with. This helps drive more targetted followers back to your Instagram profiles.
Instafire doesn't have the ability to create accounts, however it can comment with text (With full spintax support) and upload image responses.

Instaget is a real legend when it comes to Instagram bots. Similar to Instadub the bot uses tags when looking for content to like, follow and comment on. There is no proxy or account creation, but you are unlikely to find anything out there that will pump out this many comments likes and follows with success.
This bot is unique as it uses "Clients" rather than accessing Instagram directly - these are third party services that allow use of Instagram. Due to this a lot of users find ban rates are lower with Instaget, and it tends to work faster than bots accessing through a browser.

Instagram Mega Bot uses Gramfeed to follow, like, comment and unfollow. It's a fairly simple bot to use - the user simply uploads a list of accounts, keywords and comments. There are various settings around how many actions per keyword, and proxy support is also included. The use of Gramfeed makes Instagram Mega Bot fairly unique and is well worth checking out.
InstaUP is designed to be used on mobile, however can also be ran from a desktop. It's effectively a sharing network for Instagram - once you log into the bot, it will automatically like, comment, follow for other users and accounts will do the same to your profile. It's almost like a peer-to-peer concept for Instagram.
Users can either buy or earn coins. It's a little different from most of the bots on this list, but worth checking out.

Xgram is a fantastic bot for Instagram, and has the most features on our list. Their claim of "The world's most advanced instagram bot" is pretty accurate. The bot really is end-to-end, right from creating Instagram accounts (A feature a lot of bots don't have) through to commenting, liking and following.
Xgram can run multiple threads, download/resuse images and update profiles automatically. Spintax is fully supported for comments and users also have the ability to unfollow/remove images after the actions is completed.
